Sanctuary for Tastemakers

Mediterranean flavours on the menu, with the latest design directions as added inspiration: the domes’ two pop-up restaurants at Focus/18 are competing with each other for the most chic places to spend some down-time.

The surroundings allow diners to take in the seasons’ emerging trends, incorporating the latest collections: at South Dome Tapas, it’s all about a vibrant, spicy palette that expresses the positivity of colour. Arte’s ‘Flamingo’ wallcovering, paints from Zoffany (‘Raspberry Sorbet’ and ‘Musk Pink’) and Sanderson (‘Newby Green’), with aprons made from Thibault’s ‘Maddox’ fabric, all set the scene.

In the North Dome, La Dolce Vita has a sophisticated palette of ink and jade: it incorporates M.C. Escher ‘Fish’ wallcovering from Brian Yates; ‘Wynwood’ wallcovering by Nobilis; ‘Cerium’ wallcovering by Zinc Textile, from Romo; ‘Lin Fiona’ fabric by Nobilis; ‘Indigo Blue’ and ‘Birch White’ paint by Sanderson; and Samuel & Sons’ ‘French Piping’ passementerie.

On the menu, La Dolce Vita brings the best of Italian cuisine – nibble on Sicilian lemon olives or fill up on wild mushroom risotto. South Dome Tapas, meanwhile, focuses on small plates, from pan-fried octopus and chorizo to garlic prawns with aioli.
