Andrew Kornat designs beautiful hand-crafted lighting and occasional furniture, utilising artisan skills of small workshops employing centuries-old techniques. Working with cast bronze and ceramic, mouth-blown Murano glass, hand-carved wood and polished precious stones and marble, the collection has an eclectic mid-century style with a 1950s Parisian/Hollywood vibe.

Recent additions include huge hand-made ceramic orchid wall lights and ceramic side tables with tops of gold, platinum and copper glazes. The company also works closely with designers on bespoke pieces for projects all over the world.

Specialists in decorative arts, Sterling Studios produces a wide range of custom surfaces, made in house by its London team. Églomisé, antiqued, gilt, carved and cast glass panels, alongside lacquers, scagliola, crackled gesso and embossed leathers as well as a variety of resin, metal and painted finishes are commissioned by designers for both contemporary and classical settings.

In its showcase you’ll find a hand-painted arabesque wallpaper with 24ct gilt decoration, framed by a metal leaf border with broken-line motif in a hand-gilt finish, and layered with a fretwork border painted in off-black bronze. An eglomise glass chinoiserie wall light in green and gold hangs against the wall. The floor is a hand-patinated brass panel with leaf design.
