Home Comforts: Dimonah Iksel
Dimonah Iksel, co-founder of Iksel – Decorative Arts, takes us on a tour of the South Kensington flat that she shares with her husband Mehmet and son Kubilai. Their home is a temple of illusion – treasure trove of decorative, digitally printed wallcoverings, all their own designs, from ‘Palermo’ in the dining room inspired by the Norman Palace in the Sicilian capital to the undersea-themed ‘D-Ocean Still Life’ in the guest bathroom. Yoshi the cat – “guardian of the staircase” – also makes an appearance.
This intimate visit is part of the Design Centre’s Home Comforts initiative, a special series of IGTV videos created for the Design Centre by well-loved designers and other top creatives.
