A watery world of coral, undersea plants, pebbles and waterfalls is the inspiration for Harlequin’s Anthozoa collection, which embraces all things aquatic. The palette comes from the natural world, from earthier mineral blues to vibrant coral, while the materials and techniques also help to support the theme: for example, ‘Kelambu’ (pictured, on sofa) is a watercolour-effect velvet that’s as full of movement as a rippling sea. A variety of textures, from semi-sheer to linen to velvet, gives the collection versatility: the fabrics and wallpapers can be used together to create a scheme that’s as layered and diverse as an undersea realm.
