Turnell & Gigon at Home, the fabric company’s pop-up showroom, is proving one of the most head-turning features at FOCUS/15. Styled as a sumptuous drawing room – complete with coffee table books, scented candles and plants – this new concept brings the products to life, helping designers see how fabric and trimmings can work in practice. This creative space showcases Turnell & Gigon’s extensive collections, incorporating everything from deeply soft mohair, used to upholster a sofa, to curtains in embroidered fabrics designed by Neisha Crosland. The showroom wouldn’t have been possible without the input of various collaborators, including a few Design Centre neighbours – the flooring was supplied by Tim Page Carpets and some furniture came from David Seyfried Ltd. In recognition of all that hard work, the space won FOCUS/15’s Best Showroom award.
