The Creative Collaborations to Look Out for at London Design Week 2024

Perfect partnerships to seek out at the show

Amazing things happen when creative minds come together, and London Design Week 2024 will be showcasing the work of some perfect partnerships – many of which will be reuniting at the show to talk about the resulting collections. Read on for some collaborative highlights, and when to see them unveiled.

GP & J Baker x Kit Kemp

Kit Kemp has worked with GP & J Baker for the first time on this collection of fabrics and wallcoverings that feature Kemp’s signature exuberant, art-led style. Highlights include ‘Robina’s Dinner Party’, which sees ceramicist Robina Jack’s folkloric plates translated as wallcovering, and ‘Potato Print’, an homage to artist Joe Tilson.

Where can I see it? On Monday 11 March (12pm – 1pm) Join GP & J Baker’s Ann Grafton and Kit Kemp, in conversation with journalist Fiona McCarthy. GP & J Baker, Ground Floor, Design Centre East

Sanderson x Giles Deacon

This collection of prints, embroideries, velvets and wallcoverings sees fashion designer Giles Deacon’s signature aesthetic translated for the home. Expect abundant florals, classic toile reimagined and dramatic Regency stripes, all with a theatrical flourish.

Where can I see it? On Monday 11 March (11.30 – 12.30pm), Giles Deacon will be in conversation with Claire Vallis, design creative director of Sanderson, in a Conversations in Design talk hosted by Elle Decoration’s Ben Spriggs. Book ticket

Lincrusta x Morris & Co.

Two beloved Victorian brands that have stood the test of time have joined forces, with Morris & Co’s iconic designs now available in three dimensions thanks to Lincrusta. ‘Fruit’, ‘Acanthus’ and ‘Willow Bough Dado’ see history and craftsmanship come together – with the plain wallcoverings a mere blank canvas for your own finishing paint and decorative effects.

Where can I see it? Join Morris & Co. designer Jessica Clayworth in the Lincrusta showroom on Monday 11 March (2pm) when she will present the new collection.

Jennifer Manners Design Greek Cane rug, designed by Salvesen Graham

Jennifer Manners Design x Salvesen Graham

Jennifer Manners Design’s ‘Scallop’ and ‘Check’ rugs, designed by interior design studio Salvesen Graham, are two of its most beloved products; now, they’ve collaborated for the third time on ‘Greek Cane’. This playful rug puts a spin on a Greek key pattern by picking it out in bamboo, with a flatwoven construction that uses Jennifer Manners’ sustainable performance fibres.

Where can I see it? Head to a talk in the showroom on Monday 11 March at 4pm, when Jennifer Manners and Salvesen Graham discuss how classical design can be reinterpreted to inspire elevated interiors of tomorrow. Jennifer Manners Design, First Floor, Centre Dome.

Arteriors x Laura Kirar

Arteriors continues its partnership with US designer Laura Kirar with a new 25-piece collection. The mirrors, lighting, seating, storage and accessories have a Mediterranean influence, with wavy lines a recurring motif – from the cotton rope frame of the ‘Caracol’ mirror to the playful undulating legs of the capiz-shell-fronted ‘Mar’ sideboard.

Where can I see it? Kirar will be visiting the London Arteriors showroom for the first time on Monday 11 March (3pm – 5.30pm). Drop in to see her, and the collection, over drinks and canapes. Arteriors, Second Floor, Design Centre East.

Jacaranda Carpets & Rugs x Jan Erika

Abstract artist Jan Erika’s work has been translated into a series of hand-tufted rugs by Jacaranda. A classically trained cellist as well as an artist, Erika says that her work resonates with the “rhythm of the landscape”, drawing connections between the melodies of her instrument and the strokes of her brush.

Where can I see it? On Tuesday 12 March (11am), Jan Erika will be part of a panel discussion about creating bespoke art installations within luxury interiors, alongside Letitia Fitzgibbon, head of Harrods Interior Design, and Grant Pierrus of the Interior Style Hunter. Jacaranda Carpets & Rugs, Second Floor, South Dome.
