On the Right Track
Kirkby Design has teamed up with Transport for London for a second collection of contemporary velvets derived from the moquettes used on the Tube. Each design for Underground Vol.II is named after the train line it originally graced, from the 1930s to the present day, with a modern palette that includes burnt orange, teal and blossom pink. Pictured are ‘Bakerloo’ and ‘Metropolitan’, both first introduced in the 1960s. The upholstery velvets, as well as a series of ready-made cushions, can be found at Romo.
