Design Centre Stories

Dream Team

Having paired up together on the Library at last year’s WOW!house at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, Julian Chichester and interior design practice Turner Pocock have extended their relationship further with a collaborative collection.

Bunny Turner and Emma Pocock had long used Julian Chichester for sourcing, tweaking and customising its portfolio for its prestigious projects, so an entirely new collection was the next logical step. The six new pieces – named after the interior designers’ children – have been designed with an eye on practicality as well as incorporating some of the beautiful materials and finishes for which Julian Chichester is known, from lacquer to vellum and gesso.

The ‘Jackson’ desk (pictured above) and bedside table feature a tactile reeded front and vellum top, with the desk including a concealed cable run in one of the legs, answering a need to discreetly manage technology in the home office. The ‘JJ’ round dining table (pictured top) echoes the design of a traditional pedestal table, with a gesso base in either white or ink blue, while the ‘Casper’ chair (pictured top and below right) is a new take on a classical Klismos chair, available in four brightly coloured lacquered finishes, including Mallard Green and Pompeian Red.

Turner Pocock say that it was “an absolute treat to be able to resolve many of our recurrent design dilemmas through a collaboration with one of our absolute heroes and a true talent within the design world.”
