Elizabethan Garden

James Hare’s Gardyne collection, available from Marvic Textiles, takes its inspiration from late 16th- and early 17th-century textiles, and has a botanical feel, showing that bringing the outside in is nothing new in interiors.

‘Elizabeth’ (pictured hanging on wall) is an intricate embroidery of trailing flowers that emulates a hand-worked technique. James Hare is also introducing printed textiles to its collections for the first time, including ‘Knot Garden’, a two-tone leaf pattern hand blocked on to linen with dainty French knot detail.
