Tollgard has added a raft of new international brands to its portfolio, including Italian outdoor furniture specialist Exteta. Recognising how indoor and outdoor spaces are becomingly interchangeable when it comes to design, many of its products are equally at home inside or out. This ‘Poltrona Bergère 1939’ chair is an example of that fluidity: originally designed by one of Italy’s great 20th-century masters, Franco Albini, it has a strong mid-century profile, with a hardwood frame and woven seat and back. It’s recommended that the chair is covered for protection during the colder months – although why not bring it inside to enjoy instead?
