Damask’s New Direction
Cole & Son has revisited one of the most enduring motifs in interior design for its latest collection. For the Mariinsky Damask collection, it has drawn on its archives to reimagine this classic ornate pattern, which includes ‘Petrouchka’, a dramatic, intensely coloured flock print, and ‘Giselle’, which shimmers on a strie ground. Pictured is ‘Fonteyn’, styled with an eclectic mix of furniture and accessories that send a clear message that damask can be hip as well as classic.
