Ride the Wave
Antique Modern Mix had added to its roster of high-quality vintage pieces with something brand new. The collection of curvaceous furniture is all made from birch plywood, which is CNC cut, sandwiched together in undulating layers, and hand-finished.
The collection consists of the ‘Organic Design’ dining table and dining chair, ‘Natural Wave’ bookshelf and ‘Sculptured Wave’ coffee table, with bespoke options available – the bookshelf could be made to undulate over one long wall, creating maximum impact, for example.
They are both futuristic and sculptural, fitting in perfectly with the showroom’s mid-20th-century designs from greats such as Florence Knoll, Alvar Aalto and Mies van de Rohe. Antique Modern Mix also sells new upholstered pieces that complement these classics, including a curving sofa, and a mid-century-style club chair with signature splayed legs and cuddly sheepskin upholstery.
