In the Fold

The trend for geometrics is not confined to two-dimensional prints: it also springs to life in three dimensions, with products that have a faceted profile, or are inspired by the catwalk with origami-like pleats and folds. Although it looks as delicate as paper, Original BTC’s ‘Hatton’ triple pendant (pictured top) is made from fine bone china, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship behind each piece (each shade is cast in Stoke on Trent). Samuel & Sons Passementerie interprets the trend on trimmings with Optix (pictured above), a collection of sculptural appliquéd borders, including ‘Quadratic’ (pictured).
