Design Centre Stories

Wild Success

A vision of refreshing greenery complements Focus/19’s themes of growth and nature, courtesy of florist John Carter. Naturalistic woodland planting with various species of fern, cushioned by moss, line the steps up to the entrance, while the Centre Dome’s concierge desk features oversized vases that effervesce with grasses such as setaria and fluffy wild clematis.

The specially designed food and drink spaces have their own individual botanical character: centrepieces of chocolate cosmos complement the monochrome mood of the FT How To Spend It restaurant while rows of on-trend terrariums grace Bar Botanical. At lunch for members of the press in the Design Club, it was all about attention to detail, with miniature fern sprigs decorating the napkins and pillowy mounds of sellaginella in small white urns.
