Industrial Evolution
Perrin & Rowe has released ‘Armstrong’, its first new tap design in four years. According to the brassware brand, it “combines an industrial aesthetic with a designer’s eye for balance and proportion” and is named after Victorian engineers Joseph and George Armstrong, whose locomotives for the Great Western Railway were built a short distance from Perrin & Rowe’s Wolverhampton factory.
The tap’s industrial look is expressed most obviously in its lever handles, styled as a traditional shut-off valve with knurled detailing. ‘Armstrong’ is available in eight different finishes, including chrome and 24-carat plated gold, and comes as a single lever style or bridge mixer tap.
