High-Tech Hide
Digital printing is bringing unimaginable levels of detail to design products, and not just for the fabrics and wallcoverings that you might expect. Moore & Giles has teamed up with Bill Amberg for a collection of patterned hides that employ specialist digital printing technology, while retaining the leather’s natural character and grain.
Bill Amberg’s name is synonymous with the craft of leather, and he works with both traditional techniques and new technology such as digital printing.
The six designs include ‘Florabunda’ (above left), an exuberant floral, and the leafy ‘Botanique’ (above right). See the collection at Altfield.
