Design Centre Stories

Petal Power

In a nod to glorious springtime, Rob Van Helden of top London florist Rob Van Helden Floral Design created a bountiful display of seasonal florals throughout Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to celebrate London Design Week 2020.

Guests were treated to a sensory journey as they made their way around the venue, with an abundance of fragrant spring blooms on view at every corner including ranunculus, anemones, posies of roses (a large-headed pink variety known as Secret Garden), parrot tulips, grape hyacinth and magnolia, to name a few. Globes of pink gypsophilia sat on the concierge and media desks in the Centre Dome.

Those attending the Conversations in Design series at the TALK Lecture Theatre were met with an array of sweet-scented broom, while the intimate press lunch was all about details, with a palette of pastel florals, including hyacinth, tulips and viburnum, serving as the centrepiece for each table; the perfect complement to the leaf-shaped tableware and the sumptuous lunch offering from Last Supper.
