New Kid on the Block

Motifs taken from buildings and architecture are a recurring theme this season. This stylised cityscape is a detail from Donghia’s ‘Block Party’ fabric and was inspired by the early-80s Memphis design movement. Its graphic outlines have been machine embroidered, while specially dyed accent yarn has been sewn in by hand to create the energetic dots that bring the urban scene to life.
