Art & Interiors at Focus/16
Thirty designers have selected artwork for an exhibition at Focus/16 that cements the links between art and interiors. Curated by arts writer and GQ contributing editor Sophie Hastings, the show anticipates the shifting landscape in which the art and design worlds are now profoundly inter-connected: designers are working with an increasingly sophisticated client base who appreciate that art is central to a dynamic interior; and many leading designers surround themselves with art, drawing inspiration from the pieces they live with and artworks they have seen around the world.
Highlights of the exhibition include a Barbara Hepworth lithograph, selected by Karen Howes; a Tim Walker photograph, chosen by Audrey Carden; ceramics by Pippin Drysdale, the choice of David Mlinaric; and a screenprint by Victor Vasareley, selected by Kelly Wearstler. Representing the current art world is a conceptual piece by Rebecca Ackroyd, chosen by gallerist Tayah Barrs.

Three voices from art world also selected works: Tim Taylor, Pearl Lam and Tayah Barrs.
