Many showrooms use Focus/23 to mark the new season with a refresh of their windows, and with its prominent spot on the ground floor of the Centre Dome, Julian Chichester’s is always one to watch. For this year’s show, they asked Edinburgh-based Jeffrey’s Interiors to reimagine the window, with the new ‘Rita’ four-posted bed in striking red gesso taking centre stage. With its hand-applied finish, the bed has a unique, subtle patination and texture: it’s been expertly paired with ‘Seago’ bedside tables and a ‘Silvy’s’ dressing table, both in contrasting teal, and ‘Linus’ lamps, among other pieces, and topped off by a playful pair of disco balls suspended alongside the bed.
“For our design, we wanted to shine a bright disco ball spotlight on their beautiful new red bed. If you are anything like us, Julian Chichester evokes a sense of strong colour, beauty and form. To allow the bed to be the star of the show, we teamed this with our favourite finish, the teal vellum, to create a colour block pop,” say Jeffreys Interiors.
