Tim Gosling

Gosling Library

Tim Gosling designs bespoke furniture and interiors in a wide range of materials and styles. He first picked up a pencil aged four, and his ability to sketch provides clients with an immediate and unique sense of proportion and scale. Gosling has a remarkable portfolio of furniture and interior commissions worldwide: commercial projects include the Goring Hotel, The Berkeley Hotel, BP’s London Headquarters, the Oriana cruise ship and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s London flagship store; residential projects range from Georgian townhouses to Victorian mansions, Venetian palazzos and New York penthouses.

He is currently restoring a 57-roomed French chateau as a personal project: piecing together the history of this Normandy gem and restoring it to its former glory is proving to be a wonderful voyage of discovery.

“Being asked to design something for WOW!house is an extraordinary moment – it’s rather like the Oscars of the design world. It’s also a great moment for me because I’ve been doing furniture for many years now, but this is the first time I will be showcasing interior design. I can’t live my life without books, and books need a library: there’s something exciting in this day and age about being able to pull something tangible out of a drawer or a desk”
