Spanish designer Jaime Hayon says that the ‘T-Bone’ chair is “one of the most beautiful armchairs I have ever designed”. Created for Ceccotti Collezioni, the chair is a departure for the Italian furniture brand, which is better known for its timber pieces with sinuous curves and daringly slim, light profiles: ‘T-bone’ is more angular and robust, with clearly expressed joints that recall the simplicity of Japanese woodworking.
Hayon says that the chair “has been designed down to the tiniest detail so that it can be appreciated from any perspective: from the front, from the side or even from the back. It exudes lightness and dynamism alike, just through that interaction of details.” He also notes the “outstanding quality” of the timber, a trait that runs across Ceccotti Collezioni’s entire portfolio: ‘T-bone’ is available in ash or walnut with a variety of stained finishes for each, as well as coloured versions.
