Just like wine, a coffee’s terroir can govern its final flavour: from altitude and soil composition to nutrition and climactic conditions, it all has a bearing on what emerges from that final brew. Plot Roasting, which is serving up coffee throughout London Design Week 2022, takes single-origin coffee seriously. Producers are small-scale farmers, from Ecuador to Kenya and Peru, with personal relationships nurtured to ensure that production is ethical and sustainable

The “plot” in Plot Roasting doesn’t just refer to the ground in which the beans are grown, but the twists and tales in the story from bean to cup. Transparency in the supply chain is vital, and Plot can tell you not just where your coffee was harvested, but often the exact day it was harvested on, too.
