Jo Grogan

After a career in fashion and jewellery design, Jo changed path and has now completed two years of a BA in Historic Woodcarving and Gilding at City & Guilds of London Art School. She won the Grinling Gibbons Tercentenary Award for Wood Carving in 2021. Her work draws on her past experience in fashion, combining wood-carving, hand-embroidery and embellishment.

Jo is QEST’s Grandey’s Place Scholar 2022. Her scholarship enables her to undertake one-to-one training in needlework at the Royal School of Needlework, as well as funding her final year at City & Guilds, to enable her to combine these crafts.
