Mehmet and Dimonah Iksel founded Iksel Decorative Arts in 1988. With a studio in India that hand-paints their own designs for interior decoration, their collections include architectural, botanical, ornamental and scenic decors, all edited to fit into a modern lifestyle. The Iksels were the first in the design industry to recognise the exciting potential of the digital revolution, digitalising their vast archives of hand-painted panels and decors in 2001, and so becoming the inventors of a new art form that derives the highest resolution printing from decorative painting.
