I love the art deco style and would love to add some of that streamlined look to my living room. I know what fabrics and furniture I want to use – but what about suggestions for finishing touches?

You might like these curtain poles and finials, from the ever-chic French brand Houlès: founded in 1928, their pedigree makes them perfect for reinventing deco for the modern age. Parisian design studio AC/AL created this collection, called Acea Design, and the four new finials are inspired by art, architecture and jewellery. Have a look at ‘Perla’, which plays with spheres and hemispheres; and ‘Delta’, whose fan shape is directly inspired by art deco. The brushed nickel, black nickel and brushed bronze finishes sound an even more sophisticated note.
