VENICE: LIGHT, WATER & BEAUTY
Guest speakers: Architect Peter Marino and Nicolò Favaretto Rubelli, CEO, Rubelli
Chair: Charlotte Abrahams
Creativity abounds in design when thoughtful interpretations yield fascinating results. Venice has inspired the greatest of artists, including renowned architect Peter Marino. Known for his commercial, cultural, residential, and retail architectural designs that have helped redefine modern luxury worldwide, Marino’s work emphasizes materiality, texture, scale, light and the constant dialogue between interior and exterior.
He is widely recognized for his designs for many of the most iconic names in art and fashion – including Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Graff, Hublot, Bulgari, Zegna, and Fendi flagships around the world.
Peter Marino’s love for Venice is self-described as lifelong. Today, he is Chairman of Venetian Heritage Foundation and his collection with Rubelli, Peter Marino for Venetian Heritage, describes in name his passion for the city; proceeds from sales partially benefit the restoration of art and architecture. This, coupled with the Rubelli family’s deeply rooted legacy creating fabrics in Venice, has resulted in a truly authentic collaboration. Explore the remarkable alchemy that has created a globally recognised, award winning collection that interprets the glimmer of sunlight on the canals.
