Over the past three decades, the Porta Romana style has continuously evolved to become a leading global brand, its lighting and furniture a critical ingredient in the world’s most beautiful homes, yachts, hotels and film sets.
At Lighting by Design they will showcase three lights: the theatrical and eye-catching ‘Iago’ pendant formed from dynamic swirls of patinated brass; the stylized ceramic ‘Marlowe’ lamp which evokes the cylindrical elements of 1970’s design; and the elegant ‘Liotard’ table lamp. Designed by Viola Lanari, it has the decorative character of classical architecture and is hand-cast in jesmonite, a sustainable material resembling hardened plaster.
