Daniel Slowik
Treasure House Fair Morning Room
Daniel Slowik is an interior decorator and antiques dealer with an international roster of residential projects. He works in the tradition of English Couture, a design thread that runs from William Kent in the 18th century to John Fowler in the 20th century, with current properties in London, Rome, Edinburgh and rural Denmark.
After studying history of art, he began his career in the British Picture Department at Sotheby’s, later working for The Royal Collection at Kensington Palace, before joining long-established English decorating firm Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler in 1997. Having established his eponymous design studio in 2021, he has developed a reputation for comfortable, antiques-filled rooms that meld the English country house aesthetic with the comfort of modernity.
“Partnering with the Treasure House Fair to present the Morning Room at WOW!house 2025 seemed a very natural fit, since my working practice has its roots in the world of the collector. An interior at its best should been imbued with a special character of its own, as well arranging all the practical considerations of a comfortable life. Unique and storied artworks, old and new, are the magic ingredient in the equation”
