Turn Over a New Leaf

Leaf

An interactive installation in the Dome Café has created an intriguing contrast between the jungle, a world dominated by abundant foliage, and the stylish world of interior design. London Design Week 2015 offers high levels of biodiversity – of the new design variety. Visitors are invited to step inside, select a leaf and write down what they like at the show. These messages will be added to the vines of trailing leaves to create a unique noticeboard. Remaining faithful to the show’s green theme, stylist Alice King has created large-scale paper-cut art that act as verdant ‘corsages’. All are handcrafted and brought to life using wallpapers selected from the showrooms.

The installation has been specially created for London Design Week 2015 with the help of:

Wallpaper: ‘Nomad’ (NOA2014) and ‘Waverley Cottage’ (326498), Brian Yates and ‘Outer Banks’ (T16086), green and ‘Maze’ (T36166), green, Thibaut at Jacaranda Carpets. Paint: ‘Green Mantle’, Sanderson.
