A Little Shimmer
This ‘Money Plant’ rug is the result of Topfloor by Esti's recent collaborative work with French artist Nicolas Galtier. His abstract paintings use mixed media, with shimmering metallic leaf alongside paint and pigment – opulence that has translated beautifully into art for the floor. Esti Barnes has designed two new collections of runners that are typically boundary-pushing in their approach. Called Go-Go and Footloose the ranges are as lively as their names suggests, with asymmetrical designs that take advantage of the runners' linear form, drawing the eye with flowing repeat patterns. Footloose runners are hand-tufted, and include the scallop-edged 'Twist' (pictured bottom). Creative inspiration for …
Villa Nova has launched Picturebook, its first children’s collection, thanks to the contribution of three leading illustrators: Frann Preston-Gannon, Christopher Corr and Yuval Zommer. This ‘Island Hopping’ design by Christopher Corr translates on to fabric the artist's work in gouache on handmade paper, and reflects his love of vividly capturing his travels. All three illustrators' collections also encompass wallcoverings, cushions, rugs, murals …

A Big Splash
The affinity between a hand-made rug and a piece of art has been explored before, but seldom are the two as close as this. The 'Delphine' rug carefully replicates the flowing, bleeding lines of a watercolour, painting a technical feat requiring over 20 colours of yarn to be used. Topfloor by Esti's founder, Esti Barnes, carefully translated the original artwork …
Tailored to Fit
Tailoring doesn't just belong in the fashion industry. A profusion of classic fabrics that could easily make the leap on to the pattern-cutter's table have arrived, with textured weaves, dogtooth, herringbone and smart checks. The trend also goes beyond fabrics: seek out details that have a natural affinity with tailoring, such as herringbone patterns for tiles and flooring, and furniture …
Cool Floors with Character
Wide-plank timber flooring brings a sense of nobility and character to an interior – and it's made to last. Siberian Floors, a newcomer to Design Centre East, makes its flooring to order, so it can be customised to create any pattern, colour and plank size. The engineered hardwood planks are pre-finished in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility outside Moscow, and finished with …
