Stark Turns Storyteller

Stark-Carpet-Kedigian_Sturman

Founded in 1938, Stark Carpet had plenty of experience to draw on for its new book, Decorating with Carpets (Vendome Press). Over its history the US company has worked with the undisputed greats of American decorating, including Billy Baldwin and Dorothy Draper, and today collaborates with modern masters such as Steven Gambrel and Garrow Kedigian. The book aims to give rugs and carpets the recognition they deserve in creating a luxurious, impactful interiors scheme, and it is not merely a feast for the eyes but a guide to what to use where, from a practical and aesthetic perspective. Decorating with Carpets is written by Ashley Stark Kenner, senior vice president of design at Stark, and Chad Stark, senior vice president of Stark, along with New York-based interiors journalist Heather Smith MacIsaac.
