The seamless integration of home technology is now a key ingredient in any luxury interior, and a visit to Crestron EMEA’s redesigned showroom offers a tangible lesson in how to meld creative flair with controllable features such as lighting and audio visual. Crestron has partnered with companies including Poltrona Frau, Jacaranda Carpets, Boffi and Flos to imagine a series of rooms that show how smart technology can enhance every space, from the kitchen to the home office. Showroom visitors are invited to try out the control pads – as well as the voice-activated Amazon Echo speaker, as yet not available in the UK – and experiment with the technology to see how it might work in their own projects. It’s the closest you’ll get to actually installing it at home.
