Rubelli Reinvented

Rubelli CasaVenetian fabric house Rubelli, one of the grandes dames of Italian design, has begun a whole new chapter in its long history with the launch of its first furniture collection. Designed by Milanese architect Luca Scacchetti, Rubelli Casa’s 40 pieces take their inspiration from both Venice and Milan: the exuberant carnival spirit of the former, and the stricter Rationalist style associated with the latter. Given the brand’s affiliation with luxurious textiles, upholstered seating plays a lead role, but this is complemented by tables, desks, cabinets and bookcases in leather, glass and darkly glamorous black lacquered timber.
