A Statement of Simplicity
Sometimes, simplicity can make the biggest statement, as proven by Rob Van Helden’s floral displays for London Design Week 2019. Largely, a single type of flower was on show for each arrangement, its beauty amplified by repetition – from nodding hellebore tumbling from blue pots leading up the stairs of the main entrance, to round vases of viburnum in the South Dome Deli. Inventive means of display brought additional drama, most notably to the romantic walkway of hanging delphiniums in violet and sky-blue, created especially for the press lunch.
