Rise to the Challenge

decca-comp
Decca (Bolier) has offered eight interior design studios a rare opportunity to have their designs made up into prototypes as part of a competition. Visit the showroom to see the shortlisted designs, and then vote for your favourite – the winning collection will go on to be produced in full. Decca (Bolier)’s director Gemma Allman says the project is “partly educational, and partly about trying to teach people about our processes. What we do is pretty broad, so this is a way of showing how it’s up to others to come up with a challenge for us.” The designers have certainly risen to that challenge, and the prototypes are a fine examples of Decca’s capabilities, from Landmass London’s dark chevron-veneer and brass cabinet to Siobhan Loates Design’s Shard chaise longue with its armadillo-like back (pictured above). The shortlist can also be seen on Decca’s website where you can vote for the winner.
