Design Centre Stories

Fresh Water

When showrooms Victoria + Albert Baths and Perrin & Rowe recently merged their spaces in the North Dome to create House of Rohl, they also added new brands to the mix, including Riobel. The French-Canadian brassware company may be a new name to many, but its contemporary kitchen and bathroom taps are ready to make a splash in the UK market..

Riobel was founded in 1995 by a plumber, so naturally its products have a reputation for performance and reliability, but it is also known for its contemporary design flair. Products are frequently inspired by architectural forms: ‘Parabola’ (pictured top) has a distinctive shape, its right angles softened by a chamfered body, while ‘Paradox’ (above left) has a slim linear spout contrasting with circular controls and ‘Venty’ (above right) features an elegant aerodynamic silhouette.

Each collection is comprehensive, with accessories such as robe-hooks, towel rails and shower baskets available alongside taps and shower systems.

See Riobel’s products in the new House of Rohl showroom, alongside sister brands Victoria + Albert baths, Perrin & Rowe and Shaws of Darwen.
