The Art of Texture

Nobilis‘ aesthetic epitomises effortless Parisian chic, and its latest Phoenicia fabric collection brings unusual texture to the fore, with heavy jacquards, embroidery and embellishment. The palette is matt and earthy, with some surprise exceptions such as glinting metallic threads to add unexpected contrast.

‘Bekaa’ (above right) is an abstract geometric jacquard, its matt finish and soft colours creating a muted feel despite the pattern’s complexity, while ‘Herbier’ (above left) celebrates the golden autumnal months when grass seed heads sway in the breeze, and is embroidered on wild silk in gold or silver thread. A series of touchable textured plains complement these, including ‘Kerouan Veil’, which has a raised lattice design, and a lustrous chenille, ‘Cappadoce’.
