Talk of the Table

Playful tableware and ceramics have been added to the menu at the Simpsons showroom, thanks to a partnership with Micucci Interiors. Simpson’s dining tables are now graced with unusual settings that offer a compelling alternative to plain white china.

“Our ethos is all about offering exclusive home accessories for homes and interior design projects – something different, bold, fun and quirky,” says Micucci Interiors’ Natan Abalos. Some of the brands he has introduced to the showroom include heritage Portuguese company Vista Alegre, whose art deco-inspired Emerald collection is pictured above left; and MiCuit Ilustracion, an up-and-coming studio based in Valencia, whose gold-rimmed porcelain tableware features detailed illustrations of crustaceans, sea creatures and insects, including the starfish design shown above right.

Everything is handmade, which dovetails with Simpsons’ own reputation for craftsmanship, and Micucci Interiors can also take bespoke orders, since most of the pieces can be customised by shape, size and colour.

Simpsons is currently open by appointment only.
