J Baker showroom, designed as a sophisticated space that fuses a town and country aesthetic, and epitomising Focus\/21&#8217;s theme of &#8216;creative confidence&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Selina McCabe, partner at Studio Winch, says that she had an imaginary client in mind for the sitting room and home office, &#8220;somebody who wanted a rural property crossed with a London townhouse, finding a comfortable place between the two.&#8221; Emerald-green curtains in Baker Lifestyle&#8217;s &#8216;Pavilion&#8217; fabric set the scene, lined with Threads&#8217; &#8216;Vista&#8217; fabric and trimmed with Donghia&#8217;s &#8216;Covet&#8217; fabric in a contrasting tangerine.<\/p>\n<p>A working area sits to one side of the room, with a chair upholstered in GP &amp; J Baker&#8217;s &#8216;California Velvet&#8217;, while the upholstered ottoman is in Lee Jofa&#8217;s &#8216;Taplow Print&#8217; fabric.<\/p>\n<p>Pieces from other Design Centre showrooms have been brought in to complete the scheme, including a &#8216;Crawford&#8217; chandelier from Porta Romana and &#8216;Helmsley&#8217; table and &#8216;Bexley&#8217; mirrors from Vaughan.
