Topfloor by Esti’s founder, Esti Barnes, is known for her skill as a rug designer, but she’s now at the helm of a new venture, furniture brand Formitura.
Fun, bright and practical, Candyland – the name is a tribute to Barnes’ sweet tooth as well as its mouthwatering colour palette – is a debut collection of multifunctional pieces that can be used as stools or tables. With UV-tolerant surfaces they are equally at home by the poolside, in a teenager’s bedroom or in a bar.
The four models – ‘Marshmallow’, ‘Gingerbread’, ‘Peardrop’ and ‘Sugarplum’ – are made in Italy from soft and lightweight material and are highly portable, with integrated finger-holds. ‘Sugarplum’ features hidden storage, with a removable bucket that can be upended and used as as additional seat or table.
