Camargue chair by Flexform

Flexform has been collaborating with Italian design and architecture legend Antonio Citterio for more than 40 years, so it was natural that, when the brand’s showrooms around the world needed a new look, he would mastermind it. In time for London Design Week 2023, the Design Centre showroom has been remodelled according to Citterio’s vision, with painted-steel ceilings, Vicenza stone flooring, backlit panels with trompe l’oeil-effect blue skies, and darker backdrops to show off the contemporary silhouettes of Flexform’s furniture.

The first thing that visitors will see is a large space dedicated to the brand’s outdoor collections – many of them also designed by Citterio. That includes this new ‘Camargue’ dining chair in a sophistocated wine red, part of a wider collection that also includes an armchair and sofa; it’s all made from lightweight, weather-resistant aluminium and designed to be stackable, an incredibly useful feature particularly for hospitality settings.

At London Design Week 2023 (Tuesday 14 March, 4pm), the showroom is hosting a special session with interior designers Brian Woulfe and Simone Suss; they will talk about their work and how they have incorporated Flexform’s products in their projects, and there will be a chance to explore Flexform’s wider approach to comfort, durability innovation and sustainability.
