New for AW20, Ethimo’s latest outdoor offering is a way to feel cosy and cocooned, yet still be at one with nature. Called ‘Hut’, this seating pod is the work of up-and-coming designer and architect Marco Lavit, who envisaged “a place for resting, pausing and meditation” that was a crossover between furniture and architecture.
Lavit’s work to date includes several wooden cabins with distinctive upright slats, and the same design DNA is translated into this conical creation, made from durable Siberian larch. An optional curtain can be installed for even greater privacy, protecting the user from the sun while still allowing the breeze to filter through. Just like all of Ethimo’s work, it is sure to be gracing poolsides and terraces in the chicest locations.
