Design Centre Stories

Help at Hand

US textile company Kravet – part of the same group that includes GP & J Baker – is using its resources to fight the coronavirus crisis. Initially, the brand donated tightly woven cotton to the cause, sending out the fabric to a number of furniture companies that had repurposed their factories to make masks. Soon, however, it also started its own mask production at its facility in South Carolina (pictured), and 1,000 metres of fabric have been donated in total.

Other US companies represented at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour have also stepped up, with Schumacher, Sandra Jordan (which both fall under Holland & Sherry’s stable of brands), Baker and Perennials donating fabric, sewing expertise or both.
