The Craft Connection

Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is the place to discover world-class talent across a spectrum of creativity – and with the interior design industry placing a greater value on craft, Focus/21 has broadened its agenda to showcase the work of some of the best contemporary makers.

The Contemporary Applied Arts Craftmakers Gallery (First Floor, South Dome) is a dedicated space for craft, featuring work across a broad range of materials, techniques and disciplines. Contemporary Applied Arts (CAA) is more than 70 years old – the charity acts as a membership organisation for makers, championing British craft through shows, events, workshops and its online shop.

Pictured above are just a handful of the objects on show in the pop-up gallery, including a wall-mounted textile by Anna Gravelle, glass by Michael Ruh and textiles by Neil Bottle, Mary MacGregor and Laura Adburgham.
