A former DJ and music promoter, Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, 12th Earl of Shaftesbury, is the unexpected saviour of his ancestral home, St. Giles House in Dorset. Unoccupied since the 1940s, the 17th century Grade I listed house was on the point of collapse before he and his wife took it on.

He describes his unconventional, yet ultimately award-winning journey to bringing the house back to life with interiors editor Giles Kime.

A former DJ and music promoter, Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, 12th Earl of Shaftesbury, is the unexpected saviour of his ancestral home, St. Giles House in Dorset. Unoccupied since the 1940s, the 17th century Grade I listed house was on the point of collapse before he and his wife took it on.

He describes his unconventional, yet ultimately award-winning journey to bringing the house back to life with interiors editor Giles Kime.
