Everyone knows the benefits of a good, deep soak: immersion in warm water can do wonders for relaxation, and in cold water, well, the therapeutic experience is a little more stimulating, but no less beneficial, with evidence that an icy plunge can decrease stress, improve sleep and speed up recovery from injury.
Victoria + Albert had this is mind when it designed ‘Kerid’, a bath that has more in common with Nordic or Japanese bathing rituals with its deeper, narrower shape, yet is still a stylish and practical alternative to a traditional model. It features a stepped inner for comfortable seating and a curved rim that’s ideal for resting your head; a plinth base gives it a visual lightness that offsets its size, creating a ‘floating’ effect.

The ‘Kerid’ bath is made from Victoria + Albert’s trademarked Quarrycast composite, which is made from volcanic limestone and resin for strength, durability, easy cleaning and insulating properties; it is available in a matt, gloss or painted finish.
A complementary basin with a sleek circular design and groove-topped step for easier access the bath complete the collection. See it at the House of Rohl showroom.
