Design Network: The Decorative Fair
Partnership Content
Running since 1985 – and therefore celebrating its 40th birthday in 2025 – The Decorative Fair is celebration of antiques, design and art from antiquity to the contemporary. The show is held three times a year, in spring, autumn and winter at Battersea Park in south London, each one attracting an audience of serious collectors, private buyers of all ages, and designers in search of that perfect piece for their next project.
The Spring Fair (which runs from 6 – 11 May 2025) typically has a focus on decoration for outdoor spaces and garden rooms, from sculpture and statuary to cast-iron planters and urns, étagères and garden furniture. This year there are 130 specialist dealers offering top-quality objects to enhance the home, with important decorative objects and formal furniture as well as affordable treats and accessories such as ceramics, glass and textiles. Each piece is chosen to create beautifully layered interiors, and the show itself is known for its relaxed and informal setting.
Exhibitors include Form & Function, known for British studio ceramics, modern British art and functionalist furniture from the 1930s; Home Bothy, which sells quirky folk art pieces; long-established antique furniture dealer John Bly; and The Parker Gallery, a specialist in Old Master and British paintings.
