The Power of the Collective

The Design Emporium Collective is the Design Centre’s chic new spot for sourcing. Read more about its exciting first few days here – and head to the Fifth Floor of Design Centre East to see it for yourself

With its eye-catching red and white livery – and a huge branded shopping bag marking its entrance – you can’t miss the Design Emporium Collective. This is the Design Centre’s newest initiative, a curated multi-brand space in Design Centre East.

Step into the express lift and emerge on the Fifth Floor to start exploring. You’ll find names from across the spectrum of interiors, including tiles from Zellige Home, outdoor furniture from Gaze Burvill, fabric from Kathryn M. Ireland and lighting from The Soho Lighting Co.

A haven for the curious shopper, the Design Emporium Collective is packed with treasures – and amazing stories. Discover Weaver Green’s colourful rugs made from plastic bottles, then hop over to stonemason Ian Knapper’s one-of-a-kind sideboard carved from a single piece of Italian Arabescato marble, a virtuoso demonstration of the stonemason’s art.

Soho Lighting Company is showing a new lighting collection made from Cornish clay, with decorative details inspired by Hampton Court’s ornate 17th-century Tijou screen; while The Heveningham Collection’s iron furniture can be found gracing the best hotels, including Claridge’s and The Connaught.

The space is also home to the relocated Source at Personal Shopping service, an expert partner for anyone who needs assistance and advice about what’s available in the showrooms.

As part of the Design Emporium Collective, Source at Personal Shopping also has a dedicated suite for more than 60 exceptional china and glass brands from around the world – from bone china, porcelain and crystal to table linen, accessories and decorative ceramic pieces.

The initiative launched with an exclusive preview, where key industry figures saw the space for the first time and met the faces behind the newly arrived brands. Then it was straight into London Design Week 2026, where the collective welcomed the wider world for the first time. A series of special events across the week drew in the crowds, including a tour led by Country & Town House interiors editor Carole Annett.

There were also four Setting the Scene sessions, where designers Toni Black, Hattie Hansard and Adam Knight, and florist Paul Hawkins, each created layered tablescapes using products Source at Personal Shopping, as well as incorporating finishing touches from the collective’s wider brands.

Alongside new showroom openings George Smith and Designmixer, the Fifth Floor was the buzziest spot of the whole week. A second phase of development is already in the pipeline, with further brands taking up residence under the Design Emporium Collective’s joyful red and white striped painted awnings soon.
