Franklin & Hare

Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Franklin & Hare is a traditional upholstery workshop based in Buckfastleigh. Founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team Rich and Hannah Rice, the company was born from a shared love of interiors, antiques and the beauty found in objects handcrafted with time and care.

Its furniture is designed to gather memories, grow warmer with age and be cared for and reupholstered over time, ultimately being passed on rather than thrown away, reflecting superb quality and enduring British craftsmanship.

Transparency lies at the heart of Franklin & Hare’s ethos. Each piece is meticulously crafted using natural materials and time-honoured techniques.
